Palettely turns a sentence you type into a paint-by-numbers picture you fill in. It works without an account, an email address, or your name. This page is the full account of what leaves your device and why.

Palettely (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is an iOS app developed by Braxton Chandler. Questions about this policy go to brax6@icloud.com.
The short version
No account. No email, password, name, phone number, or address.
A random, anonymous identifier is created for your device so your pictures and your subscription status can be remembered between launches.
The prompts you type and the images the app generates are stored on our hosting provider, tied to that anonymous identifier.
Ads on the free tier: an optional rewarded video you can watch to earn an extra picture, plus an occasional full-screen ad after you finish a painting. No banner ads. Palettely Pro removes all ads.
No third-party analytics. We do not sell your data.
What is processed, and why
Anonymous IDA random identifier issued by our authentication provider the first time you open the app. It is not linked to your Apple ID or any personal detail. It lets the service attach your generations and your Pro status to your device.
PromptsThe text you type to describe a picture. It is sent to our image-generation provider to produce the image, and stored with your anonymous ID so a repeated request can be served without regenerating.
Generated imagesThe reference image the model returns. Stored in a private bucket and reachable only through short-lived signed links.
Subscription statusWhether you hold an active Palettely Pro subscription, plus renewal and expiry dates. Provided to us by Apple and our subscription-management provider. We never see your card, Apple ID, or billing address.
Operational logsTimestamps and error information written by our server functions, kept briefly to keep the service working and to debug failures.
A monthly counterThe number of free generations you have used this calendar month, so the free tier can be enforced.
Advertising dataWhen you choose to watch a rewarded ad, Google’s Mobile Ads SDK receives device and diagnostic information needed to select and measure the ad (for example device type, coarse region, a non-permanent ad identifier, and whether the ad was viewed). If you grant App Tracking Transparency permission, this may include the advertising identifier for personalized ads; if you decline, only non-personalized ads are shown. Pro subscribers are never shown ads and this data is not collected from them.
What stays on your device
Your projects, your paint-by-numbers progress, the numbered templates, and any images the app has downloaded live in the app’s private storage on your iPhone or iPad. They are included in your device backups if you have those enabled. They are not sent to us.
Advertising
The free tier shows ads through Google AdMob in two places, and nowhere else:
A rewarded video you can choose to watch to earn one extra picture — only ever shown after you tap “Watch a short ad for one more picture” on the screen you see when your free monthly generations run out.
A full-screen (interstitial) ad that may appear after you finish a painting and leave the completion screen. It is frequency-capped, so it does not appear every time, and it never interrupts you while you are generating or painting.
There are no banner ads. Palettely Pro removes both ad types entirely.
When you watch one, Google’s Mobile Ads SDK processes the advertising data described above to serve and measure the ad. On first use in regions that require it (for example the EEA and UK), Google’s consent form appears; you can revisit that choice from a privacy-options link in the app. Where iOS requires it, you are also asked whether Palettely may use the advertising identifier — declining is fine and simply results in non-personalized ads. What we do not collect
Palettely does not collect your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, precise location, contacts, calendar, photo library, browsing history, health data, or financial data. It contains no third-party analytics SDKs. Outside of the optional rewarded ads described above, the app does not use the advertising identifier and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Who else is involved
A few processors handle data on our behalf, each only for the purpose above:
Supabase — authentication, database, storage, and server functions. Data is hosted in the United States.
fal.ai — runs the image-generation model. Receives your prompt and returns an image.
RevenueCat — records and validates your subscription status.
Google AdMob — serves and measures the rewarded and interstitial ads shown to free-tier users.
Apple — processes all payments and manages the subscription itself. See Apple’s own privacy policy for how Apple handles your purchase.
Retention
Generated images and their prompts are kept until you ask us to delete them or until the associated project data is removed. The anonymous profile and its monthly counter persist while the app is installed and for a reasonable period after. Operational logs roll off automatically after a short window.
Your choices
Deleting a project inside the app removes that project’s local files from your device.
To have your server-side generation history and anonymous profile erased, email brax6@icloud.com from a device that still has the app installed, or include enough detail for us to identify the records. We will action it within 30 days.
Manage or cancel Palettely Pro in Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions on your device.
Security
All traffic between the app and our services is encrypted in transit with TLS. Stored images sit in a non-public bucket and are served only through time-limited signed URLs. Access to the database is constrained by row-level security so a device can reach only its own records.
Children
Palettely is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Because the app collects no personal information and requires no account, there is nothing for a child to disclose. If you believe a child has provided information that should be removed, contact us.
International users
Palettely is operated from the United States and its processors store data in the United States. If you use the app from outside the U.S., you consent to that processing. Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, the lawful bases are performance of the service you requested and our legitimate interest in operating and securing it; you may exercise access and erasure rights via the contact address above.
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it, and a material change will be surfaced in the app before it takes effect. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
