Questions people ask

How are stars counted?

The percentage is how much water reaches the goal compared with the best river the valley's designer found. 60% gives one star, 80% two and 100% three. Beat the designer's route and the game tells you so.

Why did my water stop?

On valleys with stepped, terraced hills, water only runs downhill: follow the little paper arrows. A beaver dam holds back any river weaker than the number on its tag, so gather more springs first or go around it. Sand slowly soaks water up as it crosses.

Can a river split?

Yes. Start a new line from anywhere along an existing river and the water divides evenly between the two branches.

How do I get my purchases back?

Go to Shop → Restore purchases (it's in Settings too), signed in with the Apple ID you bought them with.

Will a new phone keep my progress?

Yes, as long as it uses the same Apple ID with iCloud switched on. Progress syncs on its own.

What does No Ads do?

It removes the ads between valleys permanently. Reward videos (for a hint, more ink or doubled coins) are still there if you want them, but nothing ever requires one.

When does the daily valley change?

At midnight UTC, the same moment worldwide, so everyone on the leaderboard plays the same valley.
